Understanding Parlay Bets

A parlay (or accumulator) is a single bet that links together two or more individual wagers. To win the parlay, every single leg in the bet must win. If even one selection loses, the entire parlay is graded as a loss.

Why use a Parlay?
  • Compound Odds: The payout is much higher than betting each game individually because the winnings from the first leg are "rolled over" as the stake for the second leg, and so on.
  • High Risk, High Reward: While the payouts are attractive, the mathematical probability of winning decreases significantly with every leg you add.

Strategy Tip: Most professional bettors limit parlays to 2 or 3 legs. Long-shot "lottery ticket" parlays with 10+ legs have extremely high house edges.
